Why this blog exists

I started this blog because I love to travel. Simple as that. But also, not so simple.

Right now, I’m spending my year abroad in Munich, and it felt like the right time to finally bring together two things I care deeply about: being out in the world, and thinking deeply about it. I’m not here to be an influencer or post perfect pictures — this blog is more of a travel diary. A space to document my hikes, my discoveries, and the questions that come up along the way.

Because for me, travel isn’t just about sightseeing. It’s about understanding. Why cultures form the way they do. Why a place looks and feels the way it does. How systems — legal, historical, philosophical — shape the way people live and think. It’s about the layers behind a landscape.

One of my favourite moments so far this year was hiking up Notkarspitze with a group of over 40 other exchange students on our program.

What made it special wasn’t just the scenery — it was the conversations. People from all over the world sharing their views on life, politics, philosophy, and culture as we climbed. It reminded me how travel brings out both the adventurer and the thinker in me. I live for those intersections.

Living in Germany — especially Bavaria — has shown me how deeply culture, history and law are intertwined. You start to see how traditions shape systems, how rules reflect values, and how much we take for granted in our own countries. These are the kinds of things I want to explore more of here — through stories, reflections, and, yes, plenty of hikes.

So, if you’re into nature, discovering new places, and thinking about the world in all its complexity — you’re in the right place. I’m so glad you’re here.
